Meet Joseph
I am a compassionate, caring, and driven therapist who believes in the importance of collaboration and trust in therapy. I am focused on improving the lives of I clients through a flexible style of counseling. With a focus on creative approaches to counseling, I provide engaging counseling through various mediums including art, media, and mindful activities. Likewise, I am trained in existential and holistic therapies that focus on addressing trauma on both a macro and micro level.
I provide services focused on trauma and specializes in the treatment of PTSD, Anxiety, and Depression. Having trained in trauma-focused therapies I utilize a holistic approach that mixes Trauma-Informed Mindfulness, CBT, and Art Therapy to name a few facets of my practice.
I graduated with a BA in Psychology from Temple University and my MS in Professional Counseling from Carlow University. I interned and worked part time at Pittsburgh Action Against Rape and worked as a Survivor Advocate at Columbia University where I specialized in the treatment and advocacy of survivors of sexual and domestic violence post graduate schooling.
I am committed to improving the lives of my clients and providing an environment focused on healing and change. Through my holistic approach that focuses on the mind/body connection, I work collaboratively with my clients to help them achieve their goals. I recognize the courage and strength it takes to start and follow through with therapy. I am excited to meet you and help you along this journey, for those who wander are not always lost.
